Klamp It Wheel Clamp compared to Australian Wheel Clamp 2025 review

Klamp It Wheel Clamp
KIWC

Klamp It Wheel Clamp
Australian Wheel Clamp
AWC

Supreme Australian Wheel Clamp stops all methods thieves use to cut chain or break a padlock

is the wheel clamp Australian made

KIWC - No, we believe its made in China based on the RRP and the fact is if it was made in Australia they would state that on their web site.

AWC - Yes

warranty

KIWC - No manufacturer warranty based on various web sites. If you live in Australia the importer or retail must, by law, give each purchaser the minimum mandatory 6 month warranty unless other wise stated.

AWC - Yes a 10 year Australian manufacturer warranty no matter where you purchase it from.

what size wheels will each wheel clamp fit

KIWC - Only vehicles that have a minimum of 50mm between the top of the tyre and the bottom of the wheel arch as stated in their video.

AWC - All size wheels from the smallest wheel on a jet ski trailer up to the largest wheel on a 4wd off road camper trailer with coil springs and / or piston suspension and all size wheels between, nothing to adjust to fit all size wheels.

do you have to measure the width or diameter of the tyre before purchasing

KIWC - Yes

AWC - No

how many size wheel clamps does each manufacturer make

KIWC - Five sizes A, B, C, D, E. This makes purchasing inconvenient because first you have to measure the wheel including allowing for a protruding wheel hub and second find a retailer that sells the size you want.

AWC - Only one size because the one size fits all size wheels from the smallest wheel on a jet ski trailer up to the largest wheel on a 4wd off road camper trailer and all size wheels between, nothing to adjust to fit all size wheels.

what is each wheel clamp made from

KIWC - Thin walled mild steel tube then powder coated.

AWC - 2mm thick stainless steel and 10mm diameter high tensile chain that is bolt cutter proof.

does the wheel clamp have welded joints

KIWC - Yes

AWC - No

fitting time

KIWC - Their video said 30 seconds.

AWC - Between 20 - 30 seconds.

do mud flaps cause a problem when fitting

KIWC - Their video said yes.

AWC - No

does each wheel clamp cover the wheel nuts

KIWC - Yes

AWC - Yes

does the wheel clamp cover the tyres valve to stop a thief deflating the tyre

KIWC - No

AWC - Yes

Note: un-like some wheel clamp brands it would not matter if the tyre was completely deflated the Australian Wheel Clamp cannot be removed because of the method used to fit the 10mm diameter high tensile chain around the wheel and the vehicles chassis.

do protruding wheel hubs cause any problems when fitting

KIWC - Yes, because the Klamp It Wheel Clamp has to fit the total width from the back of the tyre to the front of the wheel hub which means if the tyre is say 195mm and the wheel hub protrudes 30mm you will have to buy a Klamp It Wheel Clamp for a Wheel 225mm wide, this is "D".

AWC - No

what type of lock does each wheel clamp have

KIWC - A standard push in key lock.

AWC - Enforcer Wheel Clamp includes a high security padlock with a shackle that is bolt cutter proof. Supreme Wheel Clamp includes our patented locking system. The padlock is fully enclosed inside a thick walled stainless steel cylinder, see pictures Padlock Protection.

where can each wheel clamp be purchased

KIWC - Available from a few retailers throughout Australia. Cannot buy from the manufacturer in China.

AWC - Direct from the Australian manufacture by contacting us.

Plus your order is posted free of charge the next business day to any specified address in Australia.
