NUWC - No, its made in China.

AWC - Yes

warranty

NUWC - No manufacturer warranty if you live in Australia the importer or retailer must, by law, give each purchaser the minimum mandatory 6 month warranty.

AWC - Yes a 10 year Australian manufacturer warranty no matter where you purchase it from.

what size wheels will each wheel clamp fit

NUWC - On most web sites I read "specifically designed for caravans with alloy wheels". Nothing about any other type of vehicle probably because of the bar that has to go through a hole in the alloy wheel. I can only conclude it will only fit alloy wheels that are fitted to some caravans.

AWC - All size wheels from the smallest wheel on a jet ski trailer up to the largest wheel on a 4wd off road camper trailer with coil springs and / or piston suspension and all size wheels between, nothing to adjust to fit all size wheels.

do you have to measure the width or diameter of the tyre before purchasing

NUWC - Yes, as it will only fit caravans with alloy wheels fitted probably best to measure the wheel and then find out if it will fit before just going out and buying the Nemesis Ultra Wheel Clamp.

AWC - No

how many size wheel clamps does each manufacturer make

NUWC - There is only one size Nemesis Ultra Wheel Clamp fitting a limited number of different size wheels as stated above.

AWC - Only one size because the one size fits all size wheels from the smallest wheel on a jet ski trailer up to the largest wheel on a 4wd off road camper trailer and all size wheels between, nothing to adjust to fit all size wheels.

NUWC - Cast mild steel then powder coated.

AWC - 2mm thick stainless steel and 10mm diameter high tensile chain that is bolt cutter proof.

does the wheel clamp have welded joints

NUWC - Not sure as I cannot see the back in the pictures I have seen.

AWC - No

fitting time

NUWC - First time due to having to replace a wheel nut about 5 - 8 minutes. Future fitting time between 20 - 25 seconds.

AWC - Between 20 - 30 seconds.

do mud flaps cause a problem when fitting

NUWC - No

AWC - No

does each wheel clamp cover the wheel nuts

NUWC - No, not all wheel nuts.

does the wheel clamp cover the tyres valve to stop a thief deflating the tyre

Note: un-like some wheel clamp brands it would not matter if the tyre was completely deflated the Australian Wheel Clamp cannot be removed because of the method used to fit the 10mm diameter high tensile chain around the wheel and the vehicles chassis.

NUWC - Yes, if alloy wheels have protruding wheel hubs.

what type of lock does each wheel clamp have

NUWC - A standard push in key lock.

AWC - Enforcer Wheel Clamp includes the high security Abus 83/45 padlock with a shackle that is bolt cutter proof. Supreme Wheel Clamp includes our patented locking system. The padlock is fully enclosed inside a thick walled stainless steel cylinder, see pictures Padlock Protection.
