BWC - No manufacturer warranty if you live in Australia the importer or retailer must, by law, give each purchaser the minimum mandatory 6 month warranty.

AWC - Yes a 10 year Australian manufacturer warranty no matter where you purchase it from.

what size wheels will each wheel clamp fit

BWC - The Bulldog Titan Wheel Clamp range based on their web site there are 8 different size wheel clamps including ones for alloy or steel wheels and wheels that have a wheel trim.

This can be confusing figuring out which one will fit your vehicle. Will not fit a wheel on a 4wd camper trailer.

AWC - All size wheels from the smallest wheel on a jet ski trailer up to the largest wheel on a 4wd off road camper trailer with coil springs and / or piston suspension and all size wheels between, nothing to adjust to fit all size wheels.

do you have to measure the width or diameter of the tyre before purchasing

BWC - Yes

how many size wheel clamps does each manufacturer make

BWC - Based on their web site in the Bulldog Titan Wheel Clamp range there are 8 different sizes.

AWC - Only one size because the one size fits all size wheels from the smallest wheel on a jet ski trailer up to the largest wheel on a 4wd off road camper trailer and all size wheels between, nothing to adjust to fit all size wheels.

what is each wheel clamp made from

BWC - Mild steel then powder coated.

AWC - 2mm thick stainless steel and 10mm diameter high tensile chain that is bolt cutter proof.

does the wheel clamp have welded joints

BWC - Yes

AWC - No

fitting time

BWC - Between 120 - 180 seconds.

Note: Once the three arms have been fitted to the wheel there is a nut in the center of the wheel that has to be tightened. Then a cover is placed over the nut and locked with a key. It seems the cover just covers the nut and to remove the wheel clamp you need a key to remove the cover and a spanner to un-do the nut to be able to remove the three arms from around the wheel.

do mud flaps cause a problem when fitting

Note: un-like some wheel clamp brands it would not matter if the tyre was completely deflated the Australian Wheel Clamp cannot be removed because of the method used to fit the 10mm diameter high tensile chain around the wheel and the vehicles chassis.

do protruding wheel hubs cause any problems when fitting

BWC - Yes because it appears each size wheel clamp is made to fit a specified tyre width meaning if there is a protruding wheel hub the three arms will not fit around the width of the wheel. This is a tricky one I guess you would need to contact the retailer for an answer.

AWC - No

what type of lock does each wheel clamp have

BWC - A standard push in key lock.

AWC - Enforcer Wheel Clamp includes the high security Abus 83/45 padlock with a shackle that is bolt cutter proof. Supreme Wheel Clamp includes our patented locking system. The padlock is fully enclosed inside a thick walled stainless steel cylinder, see pictures Padlock Protection.
