London Triangle Wheel Clamp compared to Australian Wheel Clamp
London Triangle Wheel Clamp - LTWC
Australian Wheel Clamp - AWC
what is each wheel clamp made from
LTWC - Mild steel with welded reinforced 20mm diameter thin walled steel tubing and powder coated. Includes mild steel chain, note thin mild steel chain can be cut with a cheap 12 inch bolt cutter bought at Bunnings, Mitre 10 or any other hardware shop for about five dollars.
AWC - 2mm thick 304 stainless steel and 10mm diameter high tensile chain, cannot be cut with a bolt cutter no matter how long the bolt cutter is.
how each wheel clamp fits to a wheel
LTWC - A mild steel plate covering the wheel nuts and mild steel chain over the top of the wheel and a padlock at the front but nothing securing the wheel clamp to the vehicles chassis. London Triangle Wheel Clamp does not include a padlock. The purchaser has to buy there own padlock.
AWC - Includes 10mm diameter high tensile chain that wraps around the diameter and width of the wheel, under then over the top of the leaf springs or tubular frame (most caravan chassis) or another part of the vehicles chassis if it has coil springs and / or piston suspension then locks at the front.
do you have to measure the width of the tyre before purchasing
LTWC - Yes
AWC - No you do not as the Australian Wheel Clamp fits all size wheels from a small jet ski trailer wheel up to the largest 4wd off road camper trailer wheel without adjusting anything.
