10mm diameter high tensile chain included with both Enforcer and Supreme Australian Wheel Clamp cannot be cut with a bolt cutter no matter how long it is

Australian Wheel Clamp includes bolt cutter proof 10mm diameter high tensile chain

Manufactured to Australian/NZ standard A/NZS 4344:2001.
Manufactured from heat treated carbon steel.
The finish is zinc di-chromate, electroplated gold to resist oxidisation (rust).
Cannot be cut with a bolt cutter no matter how long the bolt cutter is.
10mm diameter high tensile chain
Although the stainless steel shield is an important part of the Australian Wheel Clamp. Its the 10mm diameter high tensile chain that secures the stainless steel shield to the leaf springs or tubular frame, most caravan chassis.
Or another part of the chassis if the vehicle has coil springs and / or piston suspension.

why did we choose to design Australian Wheel Clamp using 10mm diameter high tensile chain

I, William Flynn have no idea when the first modern wheel clamp was designed and manufactured.

but what I do know is

In August 2005 when I decided to re-design the wheel clamp, all other wheel clamp brands are made by one of three methods and still are today December 13, 2025.

other wheel clamp brands

From my research during June - July 2005 all but two wheel clamp brands are made in China including the above three brands.
Most wheel clamp brands only fit one diameter wheel or tyre width properly.
Some brands say their wheel clamp will fit 165 - 175mm width tyre but as you must realise it will only fit the 175mm wide tyre properly. This means before purchasing a China made or other imported wheel clamp brand you have to
Cannot use the wheel clamp on another vehicle with a different diameter wheel or tyre width.
Only wraps around the tyre and does not wrap around the vehicles leaf springs, tubular frame or another part of the chassis when the trailer has coil springs and / or piston suspension.
Some wheel clamps can be removed by deflating the tyre.

august 2005 my mission was

To design a wheel clamp that not only wraps around the width of the tyre, it also had to be
secured to part of the vehicles chassis

such as

The leaf springs or tubular frame (most caravan chassis) or another part of the chassis if the vehicle has coil springs and / or piston suspension.
that is what I did

after almost 12 months of

Designing and testing various methods to secure one wheel on vehicles in my factory in Kelmscott, Western Australia.

january 2007

I finally had a unique designed wheel clamp and a unique method to fit it to a wheel compared to all other wheel clamps sold world wide.

march 2007

We sold our first Australian made Australian Wheel Clamp to a purchaser in Sydney to protect his trailer that had both coil springs and a piston suspension.
steel shield history

how this Australian Wheel Clamp fits all size wheels

The stainless steel shield and a single length of 10mm diameter high tensile chain and one of two high security locks based on if you purchase the Enforcer Wheel Clamp or Supreme Wheel Clamp.
Place the high tensile chain through the holes in the stainless steel shield then wrap the chain around the wheel and leaf springs, tubular frame (most caravan chassis) or another part of the chassis if the trailer has coil springs and / or piston suspension.

note

10mm diameter high tensile chain cannot be cut with a bolt cutter no matter how long the bolt cutter is.
Or another part of the chassis if the vehicle has coil springs and / or piston suspension.

how to stop thieves stealing your valuable towable vehicle

We could have included thin 4mm or 6mm diameter mild steel chain, most people use for security, with each Australian Wheel Clamp.
If we did both Enforcer Wheel Clamp and Supreme Wheel Clamp would be about 52% less to buy but there was no reason to do so.

why

The Australian Wheel Clamp would be just another visual deterrent wheel clamp as China made and other imported wheel clamp brands are.

plus

For about five dollars at Bunnings, Mitre 10 or any other hardware shop a thief can buy a short 12 inch long bolt cutter to cut thin 4mm or 6mm diameter mild steel chain and your $10,000 to $90,000 or more vehicle is stolen.

if you believe

A cheap China made and other imported wheel clamps made from thin mild steel or about 0.2mm mild steel tube is going to stop thieves stealing your $10,000 to $90,000 or more vehicle then think again.
as the saying goes
you get what you pay for

think about the following

If your towable vehicle was stolen what would it cost you to purchase a new one of the same type, quality including all the extras you purchased for it over the years ?
Now you have calculated the replacement cost will the insured value buy you the same if stolen, we doubt it.
how much out of pocket
will you be if your vehicle is stolen

let us face facts

No matter the insured value and how reliable your insurance company is, if your vehicle is stolen and you make a claim the insurance payout
will never cover
the full replacement value

plus

Your next insurance policy will increase in cost, they always do after a claim.

note

No matter if you are insuring your camper trailer, caravan, boat, jet ski or house the main purpose of insurance should be for problems out of your control such as fire and damage.
but not theft

about 95% of theft is preventable

Having a high security wheel clamp such as the Australian Wheel Clamp fitted to one wheel on your camper trailer, caravan or boat trailer when its not being towed.
Installing security screens on your house windows and a security door in front of the front door.
